Neher - "Romanze e Valzer" music for double bass and piano by
composers Dragonetti and Lugi Negri. These two Romantic Era composers
wrote compositions that fit the bass well, in lyricism, drama, and romance.
The Dragonetti 12 Waltzes are for the first time recorded in their entirety
here, with lavish interpretations by Neher. The Negri Five Pieces are
also a world-premiere recording of newly published, newly discovered works,
similar in vein to Bottesini: arrangements of popular 19th Century opera. |
